Interesting Advertising Campaign by Libresse
Hai. After being searching topics to be update on my blog, I found this advertisement campaign by Libresse Malaysia which I found interesting.
With the help of BBDO Malaysia, Libresse launched a cheeky campaign called "Let's Get Real" which makes fun of common themes used by companies promoting feminine hygiene products such as sanitary napkins. The spot was launched last week in Malaysia, coupled with on-ground activations. In a conversation with Marketing, a spokesperson from BBDO shared that the campaign idea came about from a brainstorming session with Libresse and its partner Isobar.
“We looked at all the common threads among ads in this category and found out everything was centred around fake reality. It’s exaggerating the happiness felt during one’s period. And most of the ladies in the room found it annoying that no one speaks to them in an honest manner,” the agency spokesperson said.

This are one of the video that been uploaded by Libresse while the campaign were on. There are other version of the videos. The month-long integrated campaign was launched on Libresse Facebook page and features three characters namely Bread, Bulan and Big Aunty. The characters who take turns to share content from videos, gifs and articles which often come with a funny twist.
There are also posters that features the three characters being post.
Personally, I think this campaign is good since they also shared educational articles to help parents to be more open with their daughters and sons about periods. According to Libresse, this to prevent and avoid children from growing up and feeling shy about periods, which should be seen as something humanly natural. Although some might think that woman should hide about their period thingy, I think the old fashion thinking should be change.
