Although I experienced it before as I have told in previous post, but I think this time it might be different and more challenging. Applying the position I want at the company I chose are quite hard because there are so many competitors among my friends and also might be from other universities. However I know there will be company that will look up to me and I really hope that I could learn many things from them. Here I want to share words that I found on the internet that give me positive thought about what I might feel to adapt at the new place. I know every one should feel confident on what ever they are doing. But sometimes we can't help ourselves from being overthinking about what we are going to go thr...

Siti Khadijah ad campaign

Image
Hai, today I want to share about the journey of advertising campaign that my group have done together with our lecturer recommended on this project. As a final year student, we were about to do our final year project and the given task are to prepare a campaign for the chosen client which is Siti Khadijah. At first, all of us thinks that this task are so hard and might be boring since the campaign need to be in metaphor concept and the target market are niche. We have no other way but to accept the challenge to complete the given task. Three group were divided among all of our classmates. There are about 7-8 people in one group. Month before we need to present our ideas to the client, we have already present and consult our ideas in front of the lecturer and do corrections. Weeks before presenting to the real client, some of us went to the client's Head Quarters to listen to the brief to get some ideas that might help us to change certain parts that need to. Few days before...

Funny Hari Raya Advertisement 2018

Image
Domino's Pizza Malaysia 2018, #Mak,AbangTakDapatBalikraya Since Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2018 is going to be over, I just want to share about Malaysia advertisement that using humor appeal and I found it close to audience since the talent that being used in the short video are not from any celebrities. I think the video are fun because the main character itself has a funny face even he look like bored. Although at some part there are over graphic side effects such as when the main character asked Ah Chong for his motorbike keys, but still acceptable because of the humor appeal. Some eid advertisement likes to portray sadness and the feeling of gratefulness during the festival and it touched the feelings of people who watched. In this advertisement, we can see that even he is in the sad mood because cannot go back to the hometown at first, but we can still feel the humor appeal and the element of multi racial in this advertisement such as his friend are chinese and the ...

So I decided to apply any job that related with masscomm. Few days after I applied jobs on the jobstreet website, I received call by Sendayu Tinggi Sdn Bhd company that offered me as advertising admin in their office. I went to the interview and it went well, so I got the position. I worked at the company for about four months since I got the offer letter to pursue my study in advertising major in communication and media studies at UiTM Shah Alam, Selangor. It is actually a tough decisions to be made since I love doing my job there and the boss are so kind, they always teach me new things. Same goes with the staff and offic...

Are advertising agencies important?

The ad agency is there to solve problems for its clients. The client is there to present the agency with its problems, and when it needs solutions. The types of problems and solutions vary greatly depending on the client’s business and the ad agency’s area of expertise. How this is done is different from agency to agency, but the basic steps are more or less the same. (Paul Suggett, 2018) From my opinion, if a company hired an advertising agency to handle in promoting their products to the mass media, it will be safer and for the company itself because an advertising agency usually knows what are the barrier and rules need to be following when they need to release the advertisements. Some company that used in-house advertising, they think what they have done are acceptable and creative enough to catch the audience attentions but they may lack of some marketing strategies or tend to touch sensitive effects on the advertisement such as race and ethnicity issues. As we can s...

Interesting Advertising Campaign by Libresse

Image
Hai. After being searching topics to be update on my blog, I found this advertisement campaign by Libresse Malaysia which I found interesting. With the help of BBDO Malaysia, Libresse launched a cheeky campaign called "Let's Get Real" which makes fun of common themes used by companies promoting feminine hygiene products such as sanitary napkins. The spot was launched last week in Malaysia, coupled with on-ground activations. In a conversation with Marketing, a spokesperson from BBDO shared that the campaign idea came about from a brainstorming session with Libresse and its partner Isobar. “We looked at all the common threads among ads in this category and found out everything was centred around fake reality. It’s exaggerating the happiness felt during one’s period. And most of the ladies in the room found it annoying that no one speaks to them in an honest manner,” the agency spokesperson said. This are one of the video that been uploaded by Libresse while the ...

Malaysia best social media campaign

Image
Hai and Assalamualaikum. Did you all know Uniqlo Malaysia have launched an interesting social media campaign? The name for the campaign is Uniqlo Malaysia Wall Contest. The contest is using a facebook wall and it is highly popular across social media platform. Most marketers use social media as a digital marketing strategy to trigger brand loyalty by constantly rewarding fans for their unwavering support. Why do I think this campaign is one of the best local social media campaign? I think because I like the idea of using GIFs (Graphic Interchange Format) as a tool in the contest. Most of other contests that have been done are using photos and videos. So I found this campaign is slightly different from others. The campaign only need the participants to “Comment and Win” which I think it is simple and can attract people to join the contest. Unlike some other contest, they have to do something creative and have to come with an idea to win the prizes.  The wall contest me...
